If your fuel and water temperature gauges are not working correctly, the issue could be the Lucas voltage stabilzer. This device is intended to provide a refernce of 10 volts to the resistive type gauges. However, it is constructed with a wire wrapped bi-metal spring which essentially cycles power on and off to provide approximately 10 volts. Unfortunately, this method is not very accurate and can fail over time. The device offered here is a solid state item with a precise 10 volt output. Installation consists of simply unplugging the wires from the original unit and attaching to the blades on the wires of the new one. A separate ground wire can be attached anywhere that is conveniet. The unit can then be attached under the dash with the include foam tape.
